The protected prairie surrounding ÌÇÐÄVlogÆÆ½â°æâ€™s Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Friday, April 26, at approximately 9 a.m. to allow for new growth during the summer season. This is a rescheduled date. The previously planned prairie burn for April 26 was canceled due to rain. The city of Kent Fire Department will conduct the controlled burning of the prairie, which has been a yearly practice since 2004. On Friday, April 12, the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆÆ½â°æ Library’s Garden room was filled with students, makers, crafters, gamers, and admirers from across the region. For the sixth year, the Mini-Maker Faire at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆÆ½â°æ brought robots, gardeners, gaming enthusiasts, and more to showcase their projects and teach the public about their areas of interest. On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, the nursing students experienced a live surgical broadcast from University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center with Dr. A. Goel, MD, general surgeon, and his surgery team. This year’s event takes place at the KJVL – Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, WI.
