ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Joins 'SEA Change' to Advance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ is a new charter member of SEA Change, an initiative of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in which universities commit to their systemic transformation into more diverse, equitable and inclusive spaces where a full range of talent can succeed in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.

Peggy Shadduck is vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. She serves as the senior officer responsible for overall leadership of the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Regional Campus system. Her role promotes student enrollment and academic success and is responsible for expanding the visibility, influence and effectiveness of ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ as a catalyst for regional development.
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
The ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s Regional Campuses. The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and Marlene M. Wicherski Pledge $2 Million to Support Brain Health Research at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s Brain Health Research Institute. The Brain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.

ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The honor recognizes ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.
