Following a postponement forced by a severe thunderstorm on the previous Saturday, the 2016 Global Cup Soccer Tournament resumed on Saturday, September 24, with the semifinal and final rounds of play.

Golding was born in 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and doctorate in chemical engineering. He also served in the military during World War II.
