The commemoration was a wonderful, fun-filled weekend kicked off by our very own President Todd Diacon as the 2019 Grand Marshall. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for each event and thousands of area residents turned out to watch. For the Kent Campus, Commencement ceremonies took place Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center. The ÌÇÐÄVlogÆÆ½â°æ Golden Flashes football team (6-6) is bowling for the fourth time in school history, having accepted a bid to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl against Utah State (7-5, Mountain West). The game will take place on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, with coverage on ESPN2. Nearly 150 area high school students with an insatiable hunger for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics enjoyed a banquet of ‘small bites’ during two Women in STEM Day events hosted by the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆÆ½â°æ Geauga and the Twinsburg Academic Center this fall.
