You will attend a group informational session to learn more about programs, curriculum, and requirements. You will also engage in a Q&A with academic advisors and a student panel. The visit includes a tour of the building and facilities!
Fix-It Kent
Got something broken? Don鈥檛 toss it鈥攆ix it! Join DI for Fix-It Kent, a hands-on repair workshop where experienced coaches will help you repair your everyday objects, saving you money and keeping waste out of landfills. This free community event is open to anyone looking to fix household items, electronics, clothing, small appliances, and more. Whether you're tackling a wobbly chair, a torn jacket, or a gadget that鈥檚 stopped working, our volunteer repair experts will guide you through the process.
Inside the AIDS Fight: Memoir of an Epidemiologist at the Pandemic Front Lines
Join the College of Public Health for a presentation about "Inside the AIDS Fight: Memoir of an Epidemiologist at the Pandemic Front Lines," with Harry W. Haverkos, M.D., physician with expertise in internal medicine and infectious diseases and author of the eponymous book.
Dr. Haverkos first encountered an AIDS patient in 1980, and by 1983, he challenged the prevailing belief that HIV alone caused AIDS, highlighting additional contributing factors.
Biking in the City of Kent
The City of Kent is working to connect neighborhoods to destinations in our region with additional choices for how people can get from their homes to where they鈥檇 like to go, including the option of not using a car.
