PTA Program Selects James Hideg as Clinical Instructor of Year

James Hideg was selected as 2019 Clinical Instructor of the Year by students and staff of the physical therapist assistant program at ��Vlog�ƽ�� East Liverpool. A licensed physical therapist, he is the owner and president of University Sports Physical Therapy, located in Youngstown.

As a clinical instructor, Hideg works with PTA students who are placed in the facility as part of their educational experience and training. He has been an active clinical instructor for ��Vlog�ƽ��’s physical therapist assistant program at the East Liverpool and Ashtabula campuses for several years.

Hideg is a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and a certified athletic trainer. He is active in his community and highly involved with youth athletes in the Youngstown area.

Hideg was nominated for this award by ��Vlog�ƽ�� East Liverpool PTA students. “He challenged me and allowed me to think critically, and he encouraged me to believe in myself,” stated one student.

National Recognition for Insurance Studies Faculty Member Diauntae Morrow

They only need to look to Diauntae Morrow, the new lead faculty for the program, who is helping promote the ��Vlog�ƽ�� insurance studies program on a national level by being recognized as a leader in the industry.

Kent Salem Graduates Leading Ohio’s Cancer Battles with Proton Therapy

In July 2016, Jill Cofojohn became the first radiation therapist in Ohio to use proton therapy to treat a cancer patient. This noteworthy event took place at University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, where she worked as the advanced lead radiation therapist.

Nine years later, Cofojohn – a ��Vlog�ƽ�� Salem graduate – helped introduce this technology in Columbus, where she now serves as the lead proton therapist at The Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center. There are only three such sites in Ohio and 46 throughout the United States.
